WITH YOUR OWN HANDS

Nature offers many resources to make our table tastier and enjoyable; stop for a moment to observe and in a few minutes you could pick up the essence of spontaneous fruits, often underestimated or forgotten.

CAPERS WHAT A PASSION!
From May to September the green bushes soften all the dry stone walls of the countryside and also many corners of the inhabited center; the white flowers surprise with its scent; the little gems could be transformed into an explosion of taste that enriches all the traditional Mediterranean dishes.
We will explain how to pick them up and how to store them: at the end of the holiday you can take your small caper supply to flavor your winter dishes!

PRICKLY PEARS, WHAT A TASTE!
This plant comes from the Americas but It is well set in the whole Mediterranean basin; from mid-August, with its fruits, orange and red, begins to color our roads and our countrysides.
Its thorns should not discourage us: with the appropriate tool and a little sacrifice (fruit must be collected before the sun is too high) you could collect the fruits and clean them, in order to enjoy the taste of unique fruit.

A FIG PULLS ANOTHER!
Green or dark, big or small, the important thing is that they are ripe and sweet!
Taking a short walk, you can have fun discovering how many different types you can find: you can collect and taste them directly from the tree, use them to make a dessert, combine them with ice cream or, if you have a little extra time, try doing an exquisite jam or dry them out to enjoy them throughout the year.

LAUREL LIQUEUR
Nature offers us many plants to obtain different types of liqueurs: myrtle, citrus, pomegranate, olive.
We suggest you to make your own liqueur with laurel: just few leaves in infusion and you could enjoy a pleasant, colorful and effective digestive!
